Small intimate gallery. Visited first time recently on invitation from a pal just to see the exhibit. She had been before and said the house is also worth seeing but we didn't have time on this occasion. I'll look forward to going back again to view the house another time. Outstanding gallery, as well as the stunning home and collection of Jim and Helen Ede. Saw a wonderful exhibition of Palestinian tapestry and women’s craft traditions. It is certainly worth booking a time slot to go inside the house which is full of original works by Christopher Wood, Joan Miro, Henri Gaudier-Breska , and Henry Moore. It is an uplifting and stimulating space. The staff are extremely thoughtful and kind. The cafe and the cakes are great too. Can not recommend a visit here strongly enough.

Fascinating collection and combination of art and artists, giving new insight into their lives. Improved facilities haven't diluted the core space, with ambience enhanced by sensitivity from "attendants". For example the beautiful, sensitive and unique floral arrangements throughout the cottages. One could justify a visit to focus on just these arrangements and their reflection of the space.

Fascinating to see the importance of exact position of the objects or art work in relation to each other and the impact of turning a lemon 90 degrees whilst keeping it in the same place. Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes … More

Beautiful house museum and modern gallery just outside the center of Cambridge, the house museum is 3 houses knocked into one, showing a large private collection of art and furniture, an extensive library of art books which is permitted to be looked at, access is not possible if you can't use stairs, the gallery next door has various spacious exhibition spaces over 3 levels a coffee shop which also serves warm food and a gift shop, toilets, backpacks must be left with reception

Kettles Yard: Visit February 2024"Making New Worlds: Li Yuan-chia & Friends11 November 2023 – 18 February 2024This group exhibition is based on the pioneering vision of artist Li Yuan-chia (1929 – 1994) and the LYC Museum & Art Gallery which he founded and ran between 1972 and 1983 in the Cumbrian village of Banks, alongside Hadrian’s Wall".Set out in differing roomsAll have a different themeportraying the artists work.Wide variety of art in different formats. Enjoyed the exhibition where you could participate in different mediums which was on the top floor of the exhibition. Make up your own mind as to whether you think this artist made a real impact on the art world.Restaurant facilities were rather crowded and noisey.Spoilt the thought process and reflection the exhibition made on me. Perhaps it would be better to have your refreshments first!

What an amazing and immersive experience. I've never been to an art museum quite like it. To see the pieces as they were curated as a collection, and to get such a wealth of information from our guide about the significance of why certain objects were placed where they were made it a truly memorable tour. While I could never speak with authority on art, I know what tickles my brain, and the contemporary art that positively filled this house truly captivated. This is a must-do in Cambridge, as far as I'm concerned.

An absolutely beautiful house. If you love interior design, antiques, art or old buildings, I would definitely recommend a visit. There is a nice cafe serving food and drinks. Limited space for handbags, so leave bags at home where possible, as you aren't able to take them into the house with you. The staff were kind, and informative.

Lovely and relaxing place with such a peaceful atmosphere. It feels so different to experience art sat down, and the permanent collection in the house is so continuous and cohesive, it is amazing. Free entry for under 25 and CAM students as well as some other discounts too. Cafe looks nice too although we didnt visit. Gift shop lovely not overpriced, I always like to get a postcard to remember it by.
