I went for an asymptomatic Covid-test at The Sydney Cooper Gallery, Canterbury. I booked Thursday and had the test Friday. After registering, in detail, we were gently guided by Gurkha soldiers. It was all very controlled, and very safe. My son and l received our results within an hour of the swab-test. The wait wasn't long, ten mins.A smart-phone facilitates the process, but the Gurkhas will help anyone at any stage. Well done!!

Great gallery with interesting exhibitions throughout the year. Run by Christchurch University it is also a showcase for student degree and post degree work. Also the Jerwood drawing prize works. Does a comprehenaive range of workshops and talks. Sells art books. Friendly and helpful staff. And it's FREE. Do drop in and see some of the great work they have on show. Latest exhibition on Pentagonism is a must see, and the artist is capable of translating complex ideas into very subtle artworks.

Very small gallery, loads of drawings and sculptures. Sidney Cooper was famous for his drawings of animals. Sidney opened an art school here I am told, today the art studios are used by students of Canterbury Christchurch University. I would love to have seen this part, but it is off limits to the public. As an artist it would have been fun.
