Place where contemporary art is king. I don't necessarily have all the codes and the culture to fully appreciate the different works.A very beautiful view of St Paul and the Millennium Bridge from the terrace

The view from the bar on the 6th floor was also good, and it was fun to see modern art such as pop art.

Visited first thing on a Sunday morning. Blue Badge parking was bookable and easy to use. Negotiating the place in a powerchair is really easy and good fun. There is also an outside cafe/spots to picnic near the BB parking if you want to eat/drink in the open air.Started on the new hang, Artists and Society. In all honesty, I was not that enthralled. Nonetheless, I was glad to be back after a long gap.Being so out of practice, I had not factored in the numbers of students visiting from abroad, many of whom traipsed round aimlessly, clearly bored witless. Selfishly, I like my galleries empty truth be told. Can't fault folks kindness and good manners though, be they staff or visitors.Plan to return after the school holidays when it's quieter.A great low-cost outing!

An repurposed old coal power plant is now hosting annextensive collection of modern art pieces. It is not classified based on timeline, or on individual schools, but rather around different topics. Some parts are free of charge, but the temporary exhibitions can be viewed for a fee.It is one of the biggest collections of contemporary art pieces, even created by artists in the furthest corners of the globe. The walkbridge leads to the City towards St. Paul, which is perfect for an afternoon or an evening stroll.

Dette er et fantastisk museum, stort og mangfoldig. Gratis i utgangspunktet, men man må kjøpe billetter for enkelte temporære utstillinger. Lang åpningstid og også gratis aktiviteter på kveldstid.

A 'must see' for art lovers but plan ahead. The exterior is striking, though somewhat eye straining, before you even get inside. Each exhibition was given plenty of space and the organisation was first rate with very short waits even though we visited in the height of the season.Thoroughly enjoyable experience however we made a big mistake in budgeting only a few hours and not planning and booking more than one exhibition. Next time we'll make a full day of it.The shop sold something for every artistic taste with a wide range of high quality goods including some photography books I'd not seen before. Not cheap but nothing tacky. Avoid here if you're on a budget!Located roughly a 15 - 30 minute walk from several tube stations:Waterloo - Northern, Jubilee, Bakerloo and Waterloo & City lines- Walk north to the Thames then east along the south bank; the longest but most scenic route and therefore my favourite.Blackfriars - Circle and District lines- From the north bank, cross on Blackfriars Bridge, go east.London Bridge - Northern and Jubilee lines- Walk west along the south bank.Southwark - Jubilee line- Boring walk north then east.

Totally wheelchair friendly with several lifts around the gallery. and a nice amount of space.A couple of little cafe's that do nice food but take you own if you have allergies as the allergy awareness and protocol is poor to non-existent in both cafe's.the main gallery is Free but the are special galleries that are pay to see and it is best to get tickets before you go to the Tate.
