A nice homely gallery good for the novice without being overpowering. Has regular exhibitions of the northern boys work. Staff are very helpful, friendly and enthusiastic about what they do. Happy to talk.

I've known the proprietor, Alex, since the gallery was in its previous location. I can probably say I have followed the success of the business, from very near its start. (My wife and I are good customers.) Alex has a keen eye for art, in its different incarnations. There ought to always be something,for both regular collectors, and new collectors, in this gallery. Never fear going it, because you will never ever be presurised in any way. Alex is an utter gentleman. Sometimes events like, themed or single artist shows occur. Again, go in, without any worries. Enjoy a visit.

I was interested in buying a book from the gallery's website. When I tried to do so, it said to arrange postage after purchase. I contacted the gallery online to check how this would work and how much it would be and got a very swift and pleasant reply from Alex who gave the postage options. I asked if it would be possible to buy the book online then be sent a Paypal invoice for the postage. The next day Alex replied to say he had amended the website and postage could now be selected and paid for at the same time as the book. I placed the order and 2 days later I receive the excellent book, extremely well packaged. This is clearly a very well run, honest and customer focused venture and if I am ever in Manchester I will be sure to visit in person! Well done Alex.

Hi Alex & Jordan,Just to say what an relaxed, accessible and passionate gallery you run.On our first visit, Jordan's knowledge, conviction and enthusiasm was evident. We were so impressed with Michael Ashcroft's work and after a long conversation with Jordan, although we did not buy; I returned a week later to purchase a piece for my partner.Your after-sales was beyond my experience of buying in terms of service, wrapping, attention to the certification and presentation.Thank you for making the (much debated) purchase a pleasure we won't regret!We'll return (after Christmas!), to see what Jordan can suggest we walk away with next time . . .Jonathan

Absolutely the best independent commercial art gallery in Manchester. Amazing paintings on display, and loads of great prints for the smaller budget. Really lovely staff too - thanks for all your advice.

This is a top gallery, in a prime spot, just opposite Manchester Town Hall in the city centre. Alex, the gallery's owner, is a knowledgable and friendly young man, and adores the art he shows — important for a gallerist, and surprisingly rare.Definitely visit if you have a love of painting, handmade printmaking, and sculpture. (Also, I have a penchant for St. Ives painters — and Alex has just acquired a fantastic selection).

Definitely the best independent art gallery in Manchester city centre. Very welcoming and friendly staff, all of which have an amazing knowledge of art, artists across the North West, and indeed the UK. They have regularly changing exhibitions, in a great and very central location.
